Car collides with pedestrians in Blackpool

A man has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm (GBH), dangerous driving and driving while unfit through drink or drugs, after a car collided with pedestrians in Blackpool.

At 11.50pm on Saturday April 14, three people were struck by a Skoda outside a nightclub in Talbot Road.

They suffered injuries which were not thought to be life threatening and were treated by NWAS.

The incident is not thought to be terror related.

The vehicle was recovered in the Norbreck area of the town at 12.35am and a 19-year-old man from West Yorkshire was arrested and taken into custody.

Investigations are ongoing and officers are asking for anyone with mobile phone or CCTV footage of the incident, to contact Lancashire Police on 101 quoting log 1862 of 14th April.
