Brush up your skills during Festival of Learning Week

Festival of Learning Week, which takes place this year from 18-24 June 2018, is a fantastic opportunity for you to learn a new skill.

Festival of Learning aims to highlight the benefits of learning, celebrate achievements of adults who have used learning to transform their lives and encourages everyone to embrace lifelong learning.
There’s a wide range of learning opportunities available in Knowsley, many of which are free of charge.

Knowsley’s Family And Community Education Service offers a range of learning opportunities across 40 venues in the borough. From healthy cooking, sewing skills and art for beginnings through to cake decoration, flower arranging, learning a new language or brushing up your digital skills, there’s something for everyone. The Live Well Directory also highlights a range of activities taking place across the borough, including volunteer opportunities if you’d like to volunteer in your local area. In addition, art courses and workshops are taking place in Kirkby Gallery on the following dates:-

· Wednesday 4 July, all day (10am – 12 & 1 – 4pm): An Introduction to Modelling in Clay workshop with artist Phil Garrett – FREE

· Wednesday 11 July, all day (10am – 12 & 1 – 4pm): An Introduction to Modelling in Clay workshop with artist Phil Garrett – £35.00

· Wednesday 18 July, all day (10am – 12 & 1 – 4pm): An Introduction to Modelling in Clay workshop with artist Phil Garrett – £35.00

· Wednesday 25 July, all day (10am – 12 & 1 – 4pm): An Introduction to Modelling in Clay workshop with artist Phil Garrett – £35.00

· Starting up again on starting Wednesday 11 July: Basic Watercolour course with artist Gill Cowley – £45 for 8 week course
