A magic strings session with Steve Pilgrim

0

Described by Paul Weller as one of the great modern-day songsmiths of our time, singer- songwriter Steve Pilgrim brings his beautiful and evocative music to The Arts Centre, Edge Hill University on Saturday 24th November.

Drummer with Weller’s band, and previously with Cast and The Stands, Pilgrim’s music is an eclectic blend of alternative rock, indie rock, blues and folk.

Following his performance at Edge Hill last year with double bass legend Danny Thompson, Pilgrim returns to the Arts Centre, this time with a full band, with songs from his latest and fifth solo album, Magic String.

“I love Pilgrim’s voice, his lyrics, his sense of melody. I hope people get to hear his music, it’s really something special” Paul Weller, 2018.

Through his songs Steve bends pain and hope into something beautiful and cathartic and with his set of honest and haunting songs the night promises to be acoustically melancholic and raucous in equal measure.
