The new Domino’s pizza outlet to open at the Concourse Shopping Centre in Skelmersdale has been hailed a huge success after its official opening this weekend.
Managers have confirmed that the newly opened multinational pizza chain in the town was one of the most successful it had recorded for an opening week.
Staff gave away 100 free pizzas in just three minutes on Saturday (August 17), when it held its official opening event, and throughout the day, staff baked hundreds more pizzas for customers keen to take advantage of the special launch promotion of any sized pizza for just £9.99 delivered.
The take away and delivery outlet opened in the Atrium and is hoping to create 35 job roles, including pizza makers, customer service colleagues and delivery drivers.
Gary Mitchell, Concourse Shopping Centre manager, said: “We were excited to welcome Domino’s to the centre, which has not only created local jobs but also provides yet another great food offering, complementing the Concourse Kitchen on the first floor.
“It was great to see so many people queuing to take advantage of the opening giveaway and I’ve no doubt Domino’s will continue to be incredibly popular. We’re working hard to attract new retailers to the centre and Domino’s commitment to opening here is great news for all.”
Cameron Mills, Store Manager at Domino’s said: “We’re thrilled to have opened our doors to the people of Skelmersdale, and we’re delighted at the warm welcome we have received from our customers during our first week of trading.”
To extend the opening celebrations, any size pizza can be ordered for collection or delivery for just £9.99 until August 26. Terms apply – see in store for details.
