The West Lancs Dog Festival is a brand new and free event coming to Beacon Country Park on 19 May between 11am-3pm.

Organised by West Lancashire Borough Council’s Parks and Countryside Ranger Service, there are plenty of fun activities for animal lovers of all ages to enjoy; including demonstrations by the West Lancs Dog Display Team.

Dog owners can join in the fun by entering their dog in the ‘Have a go agility’ activity and fun dog show which offers the chance to win some great prizes.

There will be free mini health checks for dogs, grooming demonstrations and charities, including REACH Sled Dog Rescue, Guide Dogs and Support Dogs UK, will be attending to promote the important work they do.

Heidi McDougall, Director of Leisure and Environment, said: “Set within the beautiful Beacon Country Park this is a super event for dog owners, animal lovers and families to come and enjoy.”

Entry and parking for the event is free and owners are requested to keep their dogs on leads within the Festival area.
