A fantastic line-up of cars will be on show in Ormskirk town centre on Saturday 27 July for a mouthwatering preview of what people are likely to see at one of the biggest free family events in the North West.

Ormskirk MotorFest 2019 takes place on Sunday 25 August and thousands of people will visit Ormskirk to see up to 300 cars and motorcycles from all eras of motoring on display in Coronation Park and Ormskirk town centre.

People will be given a taste of what this year’s MotorFest will have to offer when a selection of competition and classic vehicles are displayed on Moorgate close to the Queens Head on Saturday 27 July. This will officially launch the countdown to Ormskirk MotorFest 2019.

Ormskirk MotorFest is organised each year by Aintree Circuit Club with the support of West Lancashire Borough Council.

Councillor David Evans, whose Cabinet responsibilities include the Ormskirk MotorFest, said: “There will be some marvellous vehicles on display in Ormskirk on Saturday 27 July, and this line-up is a great way of giving people a glimpse of what they could see at the MotorFest. Make sure you put the date of Sunday 25 August in your diary so you don’t miss the fantastic free Ormskirk MotorFest.”

Mike Ashcroft, Aintree Circuit Club chairman, said: “We are planning some great attractions to make the MotorFest a great day out for all the family. The Concours de Elegance competition will once again see some of the really top class vehicles at the MotorFest in a special display in Coronation Park.”

There are still some spaces in the fantastic annual Concours d’Elegance competition. This will see some of the very best cars and motorcycles at the MotorFest lined up in a special area in Coronation Park, where judges will cast their expert eye over them. Winners will be selected in each of the 13 classes, including one for cars made in 1959. To enter the Concours d’Elegance please visit www.ormskirkmotorfest.com. Entries cost £15 and close on 11 August 2019.

Organisers are also looking for vehicles to celebrate a number of significant motoring anniversaries taking places this year. These are the 100th anniversary of the first Bentley being built, the 70th birthday of the Jaguar XK120, the 60th birthday of the Mini and the 60th anniversary of the 1959 British Grand Prix at Aintree.
