Local information website proving to be a hit

A local information reference website that provides quick and easy access to facts and figure about the borough of St Helens is proving useful, with over 160 users signed up to date.

Info4St.Helens brings together information on a wide range of themes from local and national sources covering areas such as population, health and social care, economy and employment, housing and community issues at a borough, ward, or individual community level – displayed in reports, tables and interactive maps.

Six months on from the launch, the results of a recent survey revealed that virtually all those who have visited the site think that info4St.Helens is a useful tool in their own work and for the wider community to use, with feedback stating how easy the site is to navigate and how it will be used frequently in day-today work from now on.

Commenting on the website and the impact it is having, Cabinet Member for Public Health and Wellbeing Gill Neal said: “I love this site; it’s fantastic and I am really pleased that the council is able to provide such a valuable resource – bringing together so much information that is easily accessible in one place.

“I am working on an on-going basis with a number of up and coming community groups and together we have been able to use Info4St.Helens to capture data relating to health, deprivation, employment and the elderly to support important bids for further funding our activities.

“I would fully recommend the site, and encourage everyone to take a look.”
