Knowsley takes part in National Fitness Day

On Wednesday, 27 September 2017 Knowsley Leisure & Culture Park is opening its doors for you to take part in a range of fun-filled activities which are completely free of charge during National Fitness Day.

National Fitness day aims to encourage the nation to celebrate the fun of fitness and physical activity across the UK, which leads to a more active and healthier lifestyle.

On the day, there’s lots of taster sessions taking place with something available for all ages and abilities including ViPR (Vitality, Performance and Reconditioning – combining full body movement with load enhancing the vitality performance and reconditioning goals of clients and athletes) with the timetable below all completely free of charge!

9am – 10am ViPR MOSSA workout – combining cardio, strength and mobility.
10.05am – 10.50am Step class.
10.50am – 11.20am Legs, Bums and Tums class.
11.30am – 12pm Low impact ViPR for Activity for Life (over 50s) – helping people to regain movement, energy and strength for life!
4.30pm – 6.30pm ViPR drills – kids and family – family fun exercise which will help to build stronger bodies and healthy habits. This session will combine games, challenges, movement, exploration for the whole family to participate in.
7.00pm – 7.30pm ViPR workout – combining cardio, strength and mobility.
7.35pm – 8.15pm Clubbercise – full fitness workout to the latest club anthems.

Also throughout the day, a range of sessions will be delivered by the Adult Day Care Group for adults with disabilities.

Regular exercise has many benefits including a healthier heart, increased wellbeing, and a better quality of life. However, many of us find getting fit a struggle. It becomes a challenge when it shouldn’t be – which is why Volair is hosting National Fitness Day and highlight the simple and easy steps you can make to become more physically active.
