Information appeal made after pedestrian is hit by car in Walton le Dale

An appeal for information has been made by police after a pedestrian was hit by a car in Walton le Dale. The incident occurred between 5pm and 5:30pm on Wednesday 14th January, when a 51 year old man had been walking along the pavement on Victoria Road by the Yew Tree pub. A car has collided with the man, which has left the man with a broken toe and bruising and grazes to his leg.

The driver and passenger of the car, two Asian women, have stopped and helped the man and have driven him home, but there were no contact details exchanged.

PC Emma Collins of Preston Police said ‘Unfortunately this man’s injuries were more serious than first thought and I would urge the driver of the car to come forward and contact us. Similarly, I would appeal to anyone who witnessed what happened or may have any information to get in touch with us.’
