Information appeal made after 14 year old boy is robbed in Preston

An appeal for information has been made by police after a 14 year old boy was robbed of his bike in Preston. The incident occurred at about 10pm on Monday 19th October, in Blackpool Road close to the junction with Layton Road.

The 14 year old victim had been cycling home, when he was attacked and had his bike stolen. A man has threatened the victim before he has pushed him off his bike into a bush.

The victim never suffered any injuries.

DS Jerry Sturgess of Preston CID said ‘This was an unprovoked and callous attack and I urge anyone with any information at all to come forward.’

The attacker has been described as being a white male, 5ft 9in to 5ft 10in tall, in his mid to late teens, of skinny build and was wearing a grey zip up tracksuit with hooded top and a black balaclava.

A black Norco Storm mountain bike was taken in the attack.
