Knowsley Council, working alongside public and private sector partners, has great ambitions for Huyton Village Centre.

Huyton Village has an enviable strategic location, with well-established road, rail and bus connections to both Liverpool and Manchester. Alongside the 50,000 local residents who choose Huyton as their home, an extra 2,500 people come into Huyton Village every day to work in the various public, voluntary and private sector organisations based in the village.

The council has recently committed £1.75m to make general improvements to the public space in the village centre. This includes improvements to street lighting in the Village Centre as well as improvements to the shop fronts on Derby Road. The planning phase of this work is well underway and work is scheduled to start over the coming months.

In addition, work will be complete by Christmas of the installation of state-of-the-art CCTV in Huyton Village Centre. There are also lots of retail and leisure opportunities in the town centre with a number of sites available for development.

The council is seeking the views of people who visit Huyton Village Centre. Have your say by completing the online survey www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/HuytonVillageHaveYourSay and your views will then be used to help shape a brighter and better Huyton Village Centre for residents and visitors alike.

The closing date for feedback is Friday, 11 January 2019.
