Guitar players invited for a brew at Clayton Green Library

Clayton Green Library is hosting a Guitar Club, to give people an opportunity to get together and enjoy music, whilst having a chat and a coffee.

The next meet will be held on Saturday 9 June from 10am to 11am, with further sessions being held every two weeks.

The Guitar Club is open to anyone regardless of ability – from experienced players who want to share their knowledge, to beginners who are keen to learn, improve and pick up useful tips.

County Councillor Peter Buckley, Lancashire County Council’s cabinet member for community and cultural services, said: “I hope that people go along and enjoy these sessions. It really doesn’t matter whether you can play already or not. The club will provide a great opportunity for those who already enjoy playing and want to share this pleasure with others, but will also give people a chance to learn.

“People will get the chance to share their passion of playing the guitar, but what is really important is that people will be able to enjoy a chat with like-minded people over a coffee.

“I’m sure that the sessions will be fun and provide a good opportunity to socialise.”

People will need to take their own guitar to the club to take part.

Places are limited so must be booked by calling in at the library on Library Road.
