Government’s economic plan is failing to deliver decent pay increases, says TUC

Commenting on the publication today (Friday) of the latest data from pay analysts at XpertHR, which suggests that pay growth remains stuck below pre-recession levels at just two per cent, TUC General Secretary Frances O’Grady said:

“The Chancellor’s economic plan hasn’t delivered the gains that will get us back to better pay increases.

“We need a stronger recovery, with higher productivity and more decent jobs. But with signs of the economy slowing, major cuts to public services could further weaken growth and reduce the chance of pay rises improving.”
