
Get a real buzz out of a free bee safari event in Billinge this month.
Residents are welcome to join St Helens Council’s Ranger Service and Lancashire Wildlife Trust Bee Officer, Ben Hargreaves on Saturday 16 April, to discover the different types of bees that can be are found in Bankes Park and take a walk up Billinge Hill to look for mining bees.
Starting at 10:30am from the Bankes Park car park, the safari will include a talk on the important role bees play in our ecosystems, while other types of wildlife will also be pointed out along the way.
