De La Salle strike threat withdrawn

St Helens Council has been informed that strike action planned by members of the NASUWT union at De La Salle School has been withdrawn.

Members were due to take industrial action yesterday (5 May) and on three days next week – but announced that this action had been called off.

However, within the same notification, the union confirmed that it plans to take five days of strike action in June.

A council spokesman said: “The council will continue to support the governors in their efforts to resolve this ongoing issue.”
