Changes to grounds maintenance programme

0

The Council is sorry that it won’t be able to carry out its annual grounds maintenance programme in full as staff are re-deployed to maintain essential and statutory services in these difficult times.

The schedule begins in April of each year and includes grass cutting amongst other maintenance activities.

We will make every effort to keep the service running, but it is inevitable that some grassed areas will not be maintained for longer periods of time between cuts.

There is no need to contact the council about this matter, we will be aware of the areas that we have yet to maintain and will do so at our earliest opportunity.

Councillor Kev Wilkie, whose Cabinet responsibilities include grounds maintenance, said: “We understand that members of the public will value the open space environment such as parks when they undertake their daily exercise. We ask for your understanding at this time that these areas will not be maintained to their usual standard.”
