Can you be our ‘Independent Person’?

question idea

West Lancashire Borough Council are looking for someone to help West Lancashire’s borough and parish councillors continue to maintain their high standards of conduct.

This individual would be our ‘Independent Person’ and an allowance of £375 will be payable to the successful applicant.

We need someone who is politically neutral and who has not been a borough or parish councillor, or one of our staff in the last five years. We are sorry but relatives or close friends of someone in these groups would not be eligible either.

Jacqui Sinnott-Lacey, Chief Operating Officer of West Lancashire Borough Council, said: “This is a very important role for the Council and we would welcome applications from anyone eligible for the role.”
