Can Cook share your lunch campaign

Across Merseyside, many families struggle during the long school holidays as they are used to having a cooked meal provided for their children via the free school meals service.

Can Cook is a social enterprise that can help. Through donations received from residents and other organisations, such as the council, they are able to provide a healthy lunch-time meal in a range of locations including at children’s centres and community centres.

Over the summer holidays, Can Cook will be providing up to 2,500 meals per week for children and young people from a specially created ‘around the world’ menu.

In Knowsley, children and young people who are attending play schemes can access a meal from St Mary’s Church in Halewood, Hollies Hall in Halewood, New Hutte Community Centre in Halewood and Northwood Community Centre in Kirkby. To find out when the meals are available, contact Can Cook on 0151 728 3109 or email cooked@cancook.co.uk
