With defeat in the FA Cup on Saturday, Skelmersdale United will face CLITHEROE at Burscough Community Stadium on Tuesday 23rd August 7.45pm kick off, with Paul McNally’s men looking to make amends for Saturday’s defeat.
Clitheroe, who won their FA Cup encounter on Saturday, have like Skem started the season with one win and one defeat and should be an interesting match-up against a well-established Northern Premier League side.
On Saturday 27th August, the club travel to Stoke to face HANLEY TOWN, Town who were promoted as Champions of the Midlands League last season have also started the season with one win and one defeat.
Bank Holiday Monday see’s the re-match against PRESCOT CABLES at the Community Stadium, Paul McNally will be wanting a better performance than the one that saw his team crash out of the FA Cup so comprehensively on Saturday, the game kicking off at 3pm.
There is currently NO game scheduled for Saturday 3rd September, but keep an eye out on the club’s media channels for any developments regarding fixtures. United do return to action on Tuesday 6th September when they are at Home to RUNCORN LINNETS in the NPL League, (although this could be dependent on the Runcorn’s game in the FA Cup).
