Broad Oak Primary School is counting on your vote as their choir looks to become crowned the winner of a national competition.
The Brunswick Street based school has entered Wellchild School Choir of the Year, a new school singing competition organised by children’s charity, Wellchild.
The school with the most votes will perform at the 2017 Wellchild Awards ceremony in London, regularly attended by Prince Harry and a host of celebrity guests.
As part of the competition, named ‘Over the Rainbow,’ a group of pupils recently visited SAE recording studio in Liverpool with their teacher, Sean Moore.
There, the group made a music video as they produced their very own version of ‘Over the Rainbow’ – made famous by the 1939 classic, The Wizard of Oz.
The top 5 schools that receive the most votes, and the top 5 fundraising schools, will go through to a judging panel who will select the overall winner on Friday 8 September.

Voting is open until Sunday 30 July.
