Skelmersdale’s first camera club, Beacon Photographic Club, will be holding their first photographic exhibition at the Art House, East Bank Street, Southport, from 14th to the 23rd January 2015.

Beacon Photographic Club was set up early 2014 by a group of friends, who all had the same photographic interest. At the club, members learn how to use their cameras to their full ability, learn how to compose an image, digital image skills and more. The members enjoy photographic outings during the summer months and learn digital and photographic skills, hold critique nights and competitions during the winter months when they can’t get out as much. The club meets every two weeks.

The members had the opportunity to show case their work they have taken so far and are excited and are looking forward to the event. “We hope that the members of the public will enjoy the work that’s on view and they will have the opportunity to buy some pieces of work. We also hope that it will encourage new members to join”.
