Bacup Library will reopen to the public at 9.30am on Monday 27 May.
The Lancashire County Council library, on St. James Square, has been refurbished with new automatic doors that are accessible for disabled people and baby-changing facilities.
The opening hours will be extended when the library reopens, as follows:
Monday 9.30am to 7pm
Tuesday and Wednesday 9.30am to 5pm
Thursday – closed all day
Friday 9.30am to 5pm
Saturday 9.30am to 4pm
The library will now be open on Monday, Tuesday and Friday lunchtimes. It will also continue to stay open on Wednesday and Saturday lunchtimes.
The extended opening hours are as a result of a recent consultation asking library users about their preferred opening times, as part of the county council’s ongoing commitment to improve services.
Anyone who lives in the UK can join a Lancashire library, either online or by visiting in person. It’s free and there are no age restrictions.
