Animal Assisted Therapy is Coming to Skelmersdale

0

Home Safari Animal Assisted Therapy are pleased to announce we now have a therapy hub in Skelmersdale.

The Hub can be accessed privately, self-funded or via the social prescription service through your local G.P.

We have many activities on offer from arts and crafts to pet therapy sessions. The hub is also available for children’s (or adults!!!) animal interaction parties, and team building wellbeing sessions.

The Hub open day will be taking place on Saturday 17th August from 12pm until 3pm where you can join us for some light refreshments, meet the team and the therapy animals and even do some arts and crafts with the animals help.

Home Safari provide Animal Assisted Therapy (AAT) sessions for the NHS and privately for a wide range of people and to assist with many conditions.

AAT is a therapeutic tool that involves adults and children interacting with a variety of animaLs from dogs and rabbits to skunks and lizards. People diagnosed with learning disability, post-traumatic stress disorder, mental health issues, autism and behavioural problems can all benefit from AAT. Clinical teams and health professionals recognise the valuable input animal interactions have with our service users and acknowledge the positive impact it has on a person’s mental health. Research evidence supports these effects, which we observe daily ourselves.

We welcome any questions or enquires which can be directed to our website, www.homesafari.co.uk our Facebook page, Home safari animal assisted therapy or by telephone on 0151 531 1358, 07507 109 996.

We look forward to seeing you at our open day:

Saturday 17th August 2019 from 12-3pm at Peel House Commercial Hub, Peel Road, Skelmersdale, WN8 9PT
