Excitement is mounting and taste buds are tingling ahead of a five day international food market landing in Wigan next week.
The market on Standishgate will host the International Food Festival from Tuesday 1st March to Saturday 5th March.
The wide variety of food from the across the world will include the spicy flavours of Indian, a wide variety of meats including ostrich, crocodile and wild boar and there will also be a refreshing salad bar.
All meats are ethically sourced by the business owners.
Chris Hulley, operations manager for Market Place the company organising the festival, said: “We have a fantastic selection of continental traders who will be bringing true foreign flavour to Wigan and visitors are sure to enjoy putting their limits to the test.”
Councillor David Molyneux, Wigan Council’s cabinet member for regeneration, said: “We hope residents from across the borough come down to Wigan’s international food festival and enjoy the great food that is on offer.
“The festival is a wonderful annual addition to the town centre and compliments the fantastic range of shops, markets and independent shops that we have in Wigan.”
