Skelmersdale Writers’ Group is a well-established group of writers who meet in the Trinity Methodist Church Hall, High Street, Skelmersdale WN8 8AT 2nd and 4th Mondays of every month 7.45- 10pm.
We are a mixed group of published and unpublished writers working in fiction, poetry, memoir and non-fiction. The group is informal, friendly and inclusive and spans a wide age group so everyone is welcome. Our programme includes read your own work for constructive comment evenings, speakers and workshops as well as themed writing sessions.
We have also published several anthologies of work some of which are shown in the photo above.
Visitors to the group are welcome at no charge for the first three visits apart from a contribution of £1 towards refreshments and room hire. After that there is a small annual subscription for full membership.
We are members of the National Association of Writers Groups. You can find us on Facebook and learn more about our activities by checking out the Skelmersdale Writers’ page on www.carolfenlon.com. You can also email Carol at firstname.lastname@example.org or phone Rita Hayes on 01695 728397.
