Warrington Borough council’s garden waste licences have already reached the 10,000 mark after fewer than 10 days on sale.
The garden waste collection licences were introduced in 2017 and 39,552 licences were issued for green bins across the borough. This meant that Warrington residents recycled more than 9,500 tonnes of green waste.
You will need to buy a new licence in order to benefit from the first round of collections in March. The service runs fortnightly until November.
You can pay for more than one green bin if you need to. You can also share a bin with neighbour(s) if you don’t produce much garden waste. See warrington.gov.uk/gardenwaste for more.
