National Day for Play Event in Crosby

Residents are invited to Moorside Park, Crosby on Wednesday, August 5 to enjoy Playday – a celebration of children’s right to play.

This is a national event organised by Play England and run by Sefton Council and Friends of Moorside Park.

The event, held between 2-4pm, will see a number of fun activities taking place, including Shy Lowen Pony Rides, Active Sefton sports coaching, Tennis with Ben Saunders Tennis, Xplorer sessions from British Orienteering and much more.

Along with all the great activities, the event will also mark the launch of the new Multi Use Games Area (MUGA) in the park. The MUGA was funded via planning gain from nearby building developments with the local community consulted on the design.

All activities taking place on the day are free and on a first come, first served basis. Residents are also advised that the celebration maybe cancelled in the event of bad weather.
