Local people are starting to see a difference on Fleet Street in Chorley as Primrose Gardens is shooting up fast.
The Chorley Council led development is due for completion in March 2019 and is part of 3 major town centre developments, one being the new Youth Zone that has recently opened.
The residential village will accommodate those aged 55 and above and will promote independence, reduce social isolation and give care and support.
Councillor Alistair Bradley, Leader of Chorley Council said: “Primrose Gardens is an exciting new development in Chorley and to watch it grow is an amazing opportunity.
“The building has shot up quickly and builders are now on with installing the roof which means that the next phase will be to develop the interior.
“The village is due to be complete in March 2019 and we’ve already received an overwhelming amount of applications for accommodation.
“We’re looking forward to welcoming people into their new home next year and we can’t wait to see the end result.
“Plus, not only will residents be able to enjoy the new space but there will be areas open to the public such as the café and the dance hall.”
Primrose Gardens is a new development in Chorley and will house people aged 55 and above to allow the elderly to continue to live independently whilst having access to 24 hour care and support.
The residential village is on Fleet Street in Chorley and is ideally located next to a doctors and a chemist with the town centre just a few minutes’ walk away.
Parts of Primrose Gardens will be open to the public including a café, hairdressers and dance hall.
Currently builders are installing the roof and in October 2018 a show home will be open for people to view. More information on the show home will be released closer to the time.
