Lancaster Maritime Museum changes opening hours

0

The opening hours of Lancaster Maritime Museum will change for the summer this month.

From Saturday 27 May until Tuesday 31 October the museum, based at the former Custom House on St. George’s Quay Lancaster, will open from 10am until 4pm each day. This will replace the current opening hours which are 11am to 5pm.

It will mean that people can visit earlier in the day, and allow the museum to provide mid-morning refreshments.

Julie Bell, head of Lancashire County Council’s libraries, museums, culture and registration service, said: “We’re responding to feedback from visitors who have commented that they would like to be able to start their visit earlier.

“People have also asked about the availability of refreshments mid-morning, so we’ll now be able to provide these at a time that suits them better.”

Admission is £3 for adults and £2 for concessions. Local residents and accompanied children go free.
