Knowsley Apprentice Tour

0

The Knowsley Apprentice team is touring Knowsley during National Apprentice Week (9-13 March).

The tour will promote apprentice opportunities with local firms, available very soon through the Knowsley Apprentice programme.

The successful programme, started in 2008 by Cllr Round, Leader of Knowsley Council, has helped nearly 850 Knowsley young people into real jobs with companies across Knowsley and beyond.

The majority of those apprentices are now in full time employment and have gained skills and qualifications that will support them through their working lives.

You don’t need experience, or lots of qualifications. If you’re looking for work, are keen to learn a trade, have plenty of enthusiasm and a willingness to learn, a Knowsley Apprenticeship might be for you.

The Knowsley Apprentice team will be at the following locations:

  • Tuesday 10th March 2015, 3pm – 7pm

Huyton Leisure Centre Longview Drive, Huyton L36 6EG

  • Wednesday 11th March 2015, 3-7pm

Kirkby Leisure Centre, Cherryfield Drive, Kirkby L32 8SA

  • Thursday 12th March 2015, 3-7pm

Halewood Leisure Centre, Baileys Lane, Halewood L26 0TY

The next round of recruitment for Knowsley Apprentice will begin in June, with placements starting in September.

If you would like to find out more, you can visit the team at one of the above locations or you can email your name, address, phone number and date of birth to knowsleyapprentice@knowsley.gov.uk to join the mailing list.

If you’re a business interested in employing an apprentice, you can call the team on 0151 443 2276 or email et@knowsley.gov.uk
