Information appeal after 12 year old girl from Appley Bridge goes missing

Update – Rachel has been found safe and well.

An appeal for information has been made by police about a 12 year old girl who has gone missing from home. Rachel McDonald was last seen at about 8pm on Friday 13th February at Wigan roller skating rink on Swan Meadow Road, but failed to return home to Appley Bridge.

Rachel has been described as being white, around 5ft 4 tall, of a medium build with straight cropped black hair, has a pale complexion, brown eyes and speaks with a Liverpool accent. When she was last seen Rachel was wearing a yellow Lacoste polo shirt, black skinny jeans, black and purple baseball cap and blue or black coloured trainers. She also had with her a pair of roller skates.

Rachel is known to have links to Wigan, Preston, Liverpool and North Wales and is known to use public transport.

PC John Wiggans of Preston Police said ‘Rachel is only 12 years old and we are growing increasingly concerned about her whereabouts. I would urge anyone who has seen her or knows where she may be to get in touch. Similarly Rachel if you see this appeal let us know you are safe and well.’
