Children can have lots of fun at the Chapel Gallery by joining creative sessions during half term which are planned to get them singing, moving, crafting and making.

The following sessions are aimed at children and they can play games, make crafts and enjoy movement and drama activities:

  • ‘Enter the Animal Kingdom’, for 5-7-year-olds, Tuesday 29 May, 9.30am and 12.30pm
  • ‘Build our own world’, for 5-7-year-olds, Wednesday 30 May, 9.30am 12.30pm
  • ‘Leap into summer’, for 8-11-year-olds, Thursday 31 May, 2pm-5pm

Sessions cost £7 per child and parents can book onto any of them by contacting the West Lancashire Borough Council-run Gallery on 01685 571328 or emailing chapel.gallery@westlancs.gov.uk. Children who attend should bring a drink and a snack for break-time.

The whole family can enjoy the ‘Bloom Creatively’ free family-friendly sessions at the Gallery on Wednesday 30 May between 1pm and 4pm and Thursday 31 May between 10am and 1pm. People of all ages are welcome to come along and use their imagination to create amazing animals, birds, plants and trees that will be part of a spectacular sculptural garden artwork leading visitors into the Gallery. No need to book in advance, just come to the Gallery. This project is funded through Arts Council England.

Councillor Yvonne Gagen, portfolio holder for Leisure, said: “These activities will be great fun, so make sure you and your children don’t miss out.”
