St Helens Council Leader Derek Long has passed on a good luck message to St Helens R.F.C ahead of their Super League semi-final clash this evening.

Saints take on Warrington Wolves at the Totally Wicked Stadium for a place in the Super League Grand Final at Old Trafford on Saturday 13 October.

Councillor Long said: “Saints mean a great deal to so many people in our borough – so it would be fantastic to see them cap off a fine season by securing their place in the Super League Grand Final and giving supporters a great day out at Old Trafford.

“On behalf of St Helens Council, I’d like to wish Justin and the boys the very best of luck tonight.

“You’re all fantastic role models for the young people of the borough – and fly the flag for St Helens superbly.

“Come on you Saints!”
