Could you perform as part of a showcase of the best talent in Knowsley?

Do you have a talent – for singing, dancing, acting, play an instrument, comedy, poetry… or something different? If so, Knowsley needs you!

Auditions will take place this summer to find the most incredible performers in Knowsley who would like to showcase their skills at a prestigious event taking place in the borough, organised by Knowsley Council.

The first ever Knowsley Showcase entitled “Shine” is a chance for musicians, dancers, poets, actors, filmmakers, gamers – in fact, anyone with a fantastic talent to show – to experience performing live in front of a live audience. You never know, if could be your first step on the road to success and stardom!

Auditions are now being organised to help identify the very best performers to be picked to be part of this exciting event – which takes place on Friday October 19 so if you think you might have what it takes to add the ‘wow factor’ to the event, then now’s the time to get your audition ready!

How do I apply?

Groups and individuals are more than welcome to apply and audition for the Knowsley Showcase.

First, anyone interested in taking part should complete the application form, which can be downloaded from the council’s website www.knowsley.gov.uk/things-to-do/events-at-knowsley-leisure-and-culture-park/shine!-knowsleys-culture-and-creative-showcase, or by emailing klcpevents@knowsley.gov.uk.

As part of the application process, you can submit a video audition (of no more than two minutes long) to give the judging panel an idea of your talent and potential. Videos can be sent via Whatsapp to 07717888530.

There is also the option to come along and do a live audition at the Knowsley Feelgood Festival at Court Hey Park, Huyton, on Saturday, 4 August between 3pm and 4pm. Slots will be allocated for this once application forms are submitted.

Can I come to watch the show?

Yes – tickets will go on sale in the next few months for the event, which will take place at Knowsley Leisure and Culture Park from 7pm on Friday, October 19, and which promises to be an evening of fantastically varied entertainment. Best of all, each and every performer will have a connection to Knowsley.
