Local business women in Chorley, Chantel Beech and Susan Cranswick, have been recognised for their achievement as entrepreneurs.
In late September, around 650 people attended the Enterprise Vision Awards at The Winter Gardens in Blackpool which recognises women in business from across the North West.
Chorley Council has sponsored the event for the past three years and this year sponsored the New Business Award category, the category that Chantel Beech, owner of the Park Hair room won.
Amongst the attendees was Councillor Alistair Bradley, Leader of Chorley Council, who said: “To see hundreds of people turning up to celebrate their own and other people’s success was excellent.
“We support each and every business in and around the borough of Chorley and it is with great pleasure to see one of our own sponsors win an award and another highly commended.
“Chantel owns a fantastic modern business in Chorley and she thoroughly deserved the New Business of the Year award. Likewise with Susan; she owns a unique and caring business which deserves more recognition.”
The Park Hair Room is a new hair salon in Chorley which offers professional hair services in a vintage shabby chic salon.
Chantel, who won New Business of the Year said: “I have had so much fun and met a lot of inspirational ladies. Winning this award is recognition for all the hard work and has opened so many opportunities, and I’m so grateful. I’m so happy to be part of the EVA 2017, roll on 2018.”
Angels DCS Ltd is owned by Susan Cranswick and David Maloney which provides bespoke personal services to give all of their clients the support and assistance they need to continue living in their own home.
Susan, who was highly commended for Small Business of the Year said: “I was highly honoured to be nominated for this award alone, to receive such a commendation is a fabulous achievement not just for me but the staffing team who go above and beyond on a daily basis.
“Angels DCS Ltd is only as good as the team of professionals I have and I can’t thank them enough for what they do for the wonderful people we serve.”
The Enterprise Vision Awards takes place once a year and awards and recognises those with exceptional businesses. Two Chorley based businesses have been recognised this year and we can only hope for more success next year.
