The incredible work of Twinkle House received a real boost recently when representatives of Bunkers Golf Society presented the Skelmersdale based charity with a cheque for £2,752.
The Society’s Immediate Past Captain, Steven Bradshaw together with Andrew Roper (Chairman) and David Ashley (President) are pictured presenting a cheque to Chief Executive of Twinkle House, Jill Boardman.
The money was raised by members of the Society in a variety of ways throughout the last golfing season with a final fundraising social evening being held at Gathurst Golf Club in October. Thanks to the efforts of another member, Dan Alexander and the generosity of Barclays Bank PLC more than £700 was added to the monies raised by Society members through the bank’s ‘matched funding’ scheme.
Jill Boardman Chief Executive of Twinkle House said “This is an amazing donation! We are so grateful to the Committee and members of Bunkers Golf Society for their wonderful support which will certainly help our therapists, counsellors, nurses and teachers to continue their vitally important work providing education, treatment and encouragement to youngsters and families from across West Lancashire”.
