Lancashire Police are appealing for witnesses after a 14-year-old boy was seriously injured in a collision at Myles Standish Way on Friday June 1st.
At around 8pm, police received reports of a serious collision near to the A6, Bolton Road involving a cyclist and a vehicle. The vehicle, believed to be a blue Audi S3, failed to stop at the scene.
A 14-year-old boy from Chorley was taken to the Manchester Children’s Hospital with serious head injuries where he remains in a critical condition.
A 26-year-old man from Chorley has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and failing to stop. An Audi has been recovered for forensic examination.
Police are appealing for information and urging witnesses to come forward.
