Back our ‘5 Ways’ campaign on World Mental Health Day

0

Wirral Council is launching a new campaign, ‘5 Ways To Wellbeing’ on Tuesday, October 10, World Mental Health Day.

And we want you to take part by sharing your top tip for wellbeing by using #5wayswirral on social media.

The date for the launch is significant as Wirral’s campaign is focusing on how 5 simple actions:

  • Connecting
  • Being active
  • Taking notice
  • Learning
  • Giving …

… can lead to better physical and mental wellbeing.

Cllr Chris Jones, Wirral’s Cabinet Member for Public Health, said: ‘Physical and mental health are inextricably linked. Just as we’re advised to eat 5 fruit and veg a day to improve our physical health, our campaign is proposing 5 easy ways to improve mental wellbeing.

‘Small changes can make a big difference. With one in four people experiencing mental distress during their lifetime, it’s never been more important to take care of your mind and body.’

We’d love to hear your top tips for mental and physical wellbeing. Share on the council’s Facebook and Twitter during World Mental Health Day by using #5wayswirral. For inspiration see wirral.gov.uk/5ways.
