Organisers of an event aimed at showcasing local food and drink are looking for applications from streetfood vendors, artisans, producers and community groups.
A Taste of Chorley will bring be an opportunity for local business to showcase the fantastic food and drink that Chorley has to offer. The event, which will be held on Saturday 9 June at 11am till 4pm, will take place across the Town Centre incorporating local businesses along with a market area with activities, information, cooking demonstrations and music.
On the day town centre traders will be taking part in a variety of trails and competitions including a hot pot competition, a real ale trial, a Chorley Cake competition plus much more.
Rebecca Huddleston, Director of Chorley Council, said “A taste of Chorley will be a fantastic event to not only showcase the fantastic food businesses and producers we have in the borough.
“If you have a business that produces or sells food or drink produced or sourced locally then we would love to hear from you. We want to have a wide range of streetfood and artisans and we are also welcoming applications from food related community groups.
“Events such as this are important to show what Chorley has to offer and attract visitors into the town centre to boost the local economy, and we also want the regular town centre traders to get on board with the event”
The A Taste of Chorley event will be held on Fazakerley, Cunliffe and Chapel Street within the town centre, but will also include a variety of food related businesses across the wider town centre area.
