New sessions launching to help people age well and feel great in 2018!
Warrington Borough Council’s neighbourhood team are launching two new ‘Ageing well, feeling great’ sessions in west and east Warrington to get the New Year off to a good start.
Weekly sessions will begin on Monday 22 January 2018, at Whitecross Community Centre, Lexden Street, WA5 1PT, 1 – 3pm and at Padgate Community Centre, Station Road, WA2 0QS, 10am – 12noon. The sessions will run consecutively over five weeks.
Sessions are open to people over 50 years of age who will be given the opportunity to learn new skills, get advice and information about healthy lifestyles, being safe and secure at home and avoiding scams, learning how to boost your mood and how to get in touch with local mental health support services.
Advice will also be provided around finding cheaper gas and electricity providers, Dementia Friends awareness training and information from Warrington Disability Partnership about aids and support to help you as you get older.
There will also be an introduction to low intensity chair based exercise by LiveWire and of course time for refreshments and a chat!
If you are interested in taking part and want to secure your place contact the west team at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01925 443098 for the sessions at Whitecross or the east team at email@example.com or call 01925 241360 for the Padgate sessions.
