Warrington, Wigan and St Helens Councils’ adoption service (WWiSH) will be holding a drop-in session at St Helens Town Hall later this month for people who have room in their home and heart to adopt a child.

There are many children in desperate need of a loving family across the three WWiSH authorities, but in the last year, 50 children in St Helens have found forever families.

Councillor Jeanie Bell, St Helens Council’s Cabinet for Children, Families, Young People and Education said: “Most people who are interested in adoption recognise that children need a loving a secure home as quickly as possible.

“If you think you could provide a loving home for someone, then I would urge you to come along to this event and have a chat with the WWiSH team. The benefits are simply invaluable.”

Members of the adoption service will be present in the town hall assembly room from 2pm-4pm on Wednesday 18 January.
